Colcolastic in the warp?

For the first time since I started weaving I went to the weaving supply shop Venne Colcoton which happens to be in the neighbourhood.

I wanted to make a loosely woven scarf.

My friend advised my to use Colcolastic: a kind of cotton with elastic intertwined. It will give you a nice crumpled effect in the end. It wasn't easy to make a warp with the stuff though: everything sticks together. Next time I'll only use the Colcolastic in the weft!

I made an open structure warp by using some parts of 9 ends per centimetre, and some parts only 6 ends per centimetre. This was the record sheet.


Very happy about the result!!!

The fringe I made into tiny braids, but in the end I sewed the ends together, thus making it into an infinity scarf.
