First double width weave

Converting my loom to an 8-shaft was to be able to weave a double width blanket. So, this is the first try-out.

A lot of counting and recounting: 16 threads per centimeter double width, to end up width 8 threads per centimeter, single layer.
The front of the loom has been removed to be closer to the heddles of the second castle.
There are sooo many threads in this warp (1056): threading took a long time.

After several attempts: finally, one side open and one side closed!
Weaving seems to take twice as long too. And next time the twill must continue in the same direction on both sides ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy with the result though!
